 Mr. Bean’s Holiday (2007)
IMDB rating: 6.10
Plot: Mr. Bean enters a church raffle and wins a vacation trip to France as well as a camcorder. After boarding a Eurostar train and arriving in Paris, the French language proves a barrier for Bean, as he struggles to get across the city to catch a train to the south of France from the Gare de Lyon. Taking time to order a meal, he finds the consumption of a seafood platter to be a challenge. Just before catching his train, he asks Emil, a Russian film director on his way to be a judge at the Cannes Film festival to use his camcorder to record his boarding, but accidentally causes Emil being left behind at the station. Bean attempts to cheer up the director’s son Stepan as the train continues south but matters are made more hectic by the fact that Emil has reported his son to have been kidnapped and Bean losing his wallet and essential travel documents at a pay phone where he and Stepan attempt to contact Emil. Heading in the direction of Cannes, Bean finds himself in the cast and disrupting the flow of a commercial being shot by the egotistical director Carson Clay. He and Stepan finally hitch a ride with the young and vivacious actress Sabine who is heading to Cannes to attend the premiere of Clay’s film, in which she appears. After Bean sneaks into the showing, his camcorder images are destined to enliven the proceedings.

Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist (2008)
IMDB rating: 6.90
Plot: It’s been three weeks, two days, and 23 hours since Tris broke up with Nick. And now here she is at his gig, with a new guy. How could she have moved on so fast? This begins the night of Nick, Norah and Manhattan. The night of stripping nuns, hotel ice rooms, Russian food, psychotic ex-boyfriends and lovingly trashy ex-girlfriends. It’s the night of Julio and Salvatore. The night of holding hands and writing songs and singing in the rain. It’s a night they’ll never forget.

Do the places in NYC in "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" really exist?
Places from the movie like the purple plum dog, arlene’s grocery etc.
i’ve gotten two contradicting answers so far… haha this doesn’t help. Well, rather i should ask, if they don’t exist, where did they film/get those places?
Arlene’s Grocery is a music venue on the lower east side, yes: http://www.arlenesgrocery.net/
I don’t know about the other one.
Polina | Jan 19, 2010
I don’t know about that, but I do know that all of the sites in: Home Alone 2:Lost in New York; are very real and do indeed exist. Good luck.
Sierra | Jan 18, 2010
Yes ofcourse why wouldnt they
lovez2smile | Jan 18, 2010
Sorry, all those places are fictional, mean they don’t exist in NYC. They all part of the movie.
Good luck

Can any of these ideas be turned into argumentive subjects?
1. Humans will have to move to another planet because Earth’s atmosphere will become too filled up with toxins that humans won’t be able to live on Earth any more.
2. Every government from every country will combine to create a solid unified government.
3. Should humans expand their knowledge with robots?
4. Have humans forgot about their basic instincts or are they hidden deep within our mind.
-I know, they are crappy, but out of a list od 93 subjects, I didn’t like a single one….so this is where I’m at.
Sorry, I didn’t know which category to place this in…
1) You could take the stance that we should use tax payer’s dollars to support research for the development of a new planet.
2) Discuss whether or not a unified government should be implemented. Is it going to be effective? What problems would arise and how should we address them?
3) Since it’s already question you just have to take a stance and support it. Discuss research on how robots are harmful or beneficial, depending on your stance of course.
4) I’m stumped….sorry.
CheerGurl | Jan 13, 2010
The United Nations almost acts as a unified government and does not have the best track record when it comes to resolving conflict. It is also dominated and hindered by the veto rights of the security council so how would one overcome such dominance. The principles behind the formation were good but the execution not as good. How would a unified government be different and would the inhabitants of earth support such a government? There are many different political ideologies in the world so which one would we choose? What are the pros and cons of such a government? The majority of the world’s population is based in Asia (count China, India, Pakistan and Japan). How would these nations with different and often conflicting histories and opinion co-exist and would the Western world accept their leadership and what comes with it?
Just some ideas of the top of my head.
Good luck with your essay.

Is the opening scene of the 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning' actual footage?
I tried to convince my friend that the opening black and white scene of this movie is fake, but he stands by his conviction that it is indeed real footage. Can anyone provide a credible source as to whether or not it’s real? Also, I know it was based on Ed Gien etc, just want to know about the opening scene with the two cops. I heard that he’s listed on the film’s credit as ‘cop in video’ but haven’t been able to confirm this.
Not real but a damn good job in trying to convince us.
I have the the special edition DVD set and it has so much good stuff like a mock police file with reports and photos of the crime scene. It also has the making of the film and it explains how the whole story was inspired by true events but nothing as disturbed as the film(s).
Gonzo | Oct 23, 2009
Haha you are right and he is wrong. It is fake footage used to get the auidence to think it was real. The footage is fake. It is loosely based off of Ed Gein and what he did, which is what they mean when they said, based off true events.

Help! same dream over and over and i'm going crazY?
am married with a 2 year old. My husband and i haven’t been doing so great lately. When i was in highschool i had a one year relationship and that is really the only time i have ever felt that crazy first love kind of feeling. We both were crazy about each other and had a connection. It ended really badly and i ended up in areally bad depression. He has since moved out to Colorado and got a job out there and currently has a girlfriend.
Everynight i have this dream though that i move out to Colorado and tell him how i feel about him and we are together and have that same feeling. I wake up and feel like i’m in love with him again. It’s not just in my dreams, i tend to think about him alot.
It’s starting to worry me though b/c i feel like i’m going to ruin my family b/c i’m i still have feelings for my ex. My husband isn’t a very passionate person and so i KNOW i’m craving that first love feelings.
What should i do? I feel like i’m wasting my time b/c he has a girlfrind and i’m married. But i have this feeling that we still have this connection and just maybe sometimes he thinks about me too.
I know this sounds crazy and i feel a little crazy but i dont’ know what to do. I know it is sinful to think this way but i’m only human and i still like i’m still in love with him. Since we were each others first loves do you think he ever thinks of me like this?

Hey Rob How are you today?
Remember those walls I built
Well, baby they’re tumbling down
And they didn’t even put up a fight
They didn’t even make up a sound
I found a way to let you in
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now
It’s like I’ve been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin’
It’s the risk that I’m takin’
I ain’t never gonna shut you out
Everywhere I’m looking now
I’m surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you’re my saving grace
You’re everything I need and more
It’s written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won’t fade away
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
Hit me like a ray of sun
Burning through my darkest night
You’re the only one that I want
Think I’m addicted to your light
I swore I’d never fall again
But this don’t even feel like falling
Gravity can’t forget
To pull me back to the ground again
Feels like I’ve been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin’
The risk that I’m takin’
I’m never gonna shut you out
Everywhere I’m looking now
I’m surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
